The Situation
The Law School engaged Solid State Information Design to re-express its brand in order to differentiate from competitors and communicate the institution's vision and entrepreneurial spirit. There was a need to establish a profile distinct from Gonzaga's undergraduate institution, design a website to serve widely disparate audiences (prospective applications, alumni, current students and faculty), and develop a new, widely acceptable "look and feel" that could be extended across various communication channels with a consistent tone of voice, clear message set and unique look and feel.
The Approach
Solid State conducted research sessions and interviews to gain an understanding of perceptions among Gonzaga's key stakeholders, ran a wide-ranging competitive analysis of other law school brands, and audited all existing Gonzaga Law School communications material. From there we identified specific target audiences and created a new website architecture geared to their information wants and needs. Solid State provided graphic brand design and a dynamic website structured around a unique color palette, messaging hierarchy and compelling photography. Marketing collateral has been redesigned to incorporate the new brand and entrepreneurial spirit of Gonzaga University School of Law. See www.law.gonzaga.edu.
